Veteran & Military Students

Those that qualify will receive a waiver of tuition and applicable fees for one course during their first semester and a 25 percent discount against tuition/matriculation and tuition differential for all other courses up to 110 percent of the number of required hours within the online degree program. Fees will not be discounted.

Student Eligibility

• Be a Florida resident for tuition purposes;
• Not have previously earned a bachelor’s degree;

• Meet one of the following eligibility requirements:
• Is a veteran as defined in s. 1.01(14), F.S.;

Students who wish to be considered for the Online Free Seat program must submit a FSW Program application through MyUWF and be approved by their institution to participate in the program.

Online Baccalaureate Program

General Tuition Assistance Information

Withdrawals and Return of Military Tuition Assistance

作为国防部志愿教育项目的参与者, the University of West Florida is required to return any unearned TA funds on a proportional basis through at least the 60% portion of the period for which the funds were provided. 助教基金在入学期间按比例赚取, 未赚的钱会根据学生休学的时间返还. 

Unearned TA funds that are returned to the appropriate military branch of service will become a debt that the student owes the university. Official Withdraw Date – The date the student officially withdrew from a course.

Unofficial Withdraw Date – Students who stop attending and receive NF grades, or a combination of NF, W, and I (Incomplete) grades, are considered to have unofficially withdrawn. UWF将使用最后参加日期来确定服务成员是否完成了至少60%的课程.

Return of Unearned TA Official Withdrawal Calculation

Active Duty Out-of-State Waiver

Active Duty Temporary Residency

Active duty service members stationed at a military installation in Florida do not need to submit the Active Duty Out-of-State Waiver application. 符合条件的军人、配偶和家属有资格获得临时居留权. Declare "military on orders" on the UWF admission application and provide a copy of the most recent Title 10 assignment orders.

Congressman C. W. “Bill” Young Veteran Out-of-State Waiver

光荣退伍的美国武装部队退伍军人, United States Reserve Forces, or National Guard physically residing in Florida while enrolled in the institution are eligible for a waiver of out-of-state fees. Military Honor Waiver

ROTC Waiver

Students receiving veterans’ education benefits from federal programs are eligible for a tuition deferment if benefits are delayed through circumstances beyond the student’s control. The tuition deferment will allow students to pay tuition after the fee payment deadline and prevents the cancellation of registration due to non-payment. 学费延期只适用于学费，不适用于学生账户上的其他费用. 如果学生有可用的经济援助，它将在延迟发布之前使用.

The student may request a tuition deferment through the VA Enrollment Certification in MyUWF. MVRC将向出纳办公室提交批准的学费延期申请. Failure to request a tuition deferment by the fee payment deadline will result in the assessment of a $100 late payment fee. 未能支付学费或要求延期支付学费的学生可能会被取消注册.
